Tour Program

• Start of the Journey

Your adventure begins late at night — departure at approximately 01:30 AM, depending on your hotel location.

• The drive to Cairo takes about 5 hours.
• After the first checkpoint in El Gouna (30 km north of Hurghada), the bus travels for about 3 hours along the Red Sea.
• Around 06:00 AM, there will be a rest stop where you can have breakfast (we recommend ordering a packed breakfast from your hotel in advance) and use the restroom (small change required).
• Warm clothing is recommended during the winter season.

• Arrival in Cairo: Old City

Mosque of Amr ibn Al-As

The first stop is Old (Islamic-Christian) Cairo, where you will visit the first mosque in Egypt and Africa, built in 642 AD.

According to legend, one of the mosque’s columns was sent from Mecca by the Prophet Muhammad himself.
• Originally, the mosque measured 25 × 15 meters, later expanding to 113 × 120 meters.
• The last major reconstruction was completed in 1797.

• The Hanging Church (Al-Muallaqa)

Next, you will visit the famous Coptic Church of the Virgin Mary, built in the 7th century.

• In the 11th century, it became the residence of the Alexandrian Coptic Patriarch.
• The church gets its name from its location above the gate of a Roman fortress — the entrance staircase appears to be suspended above the passage.
• The church is accessed by 28 steps, and inside you will find unique Coptic icons and ancient frescoes.

• Egyptian Museum – Treasury of the Pharaohs

After exploring Old Cairo, you will visit Egypt’s most important museum, home to over 120,000 artifacts.

Here you will see:
• Statues of famous pharaohs such as Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure, Hatshepsut, Akhenaten, and others.
• Golden sarcophagi, statues, and the treasures of Tutankhamun.

After lunch, you will head to Giza, a suburb of Cairo and the world capital of pyramids.

Here you will see:
• The Great Pyramids of Giza — Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure.

Although Egypt is home to more than 100 pyramids, the Pyramids of Giza became the first Wonder of the World and remain one of the greatest mysteries in history.

The tour concludes at approximately 4:30 PM, after which you will depart back to Hurghada.
