Luxor by Plane from Sharm El Sheikh
Tour description:
Luxor is one of the most majestic cities of Ancient Egypt — a true treasure trove of history where every street, temple, and column breathes with the spirit of millennia. Often called the world’s largest open-air museum, this is no exaggeration: here you can literally walk in the footsteps of the pharaohs and witness temples, tombs, and monuments that have survived almost untouched through time.
On the East Bank of the Nile stand the grand temples of Karnak and Luxor — monumental structures built thousands of years ago. Massive columns adorned with carvings, frescoes, and hieroglyphs create the feeling of stepping into another world, where gods and mortals once lived side by side. Walking through the colonnades of Karnak, you can almost hear the echoes of ancient rituals and feel the spiritual power of Egypt’s most sacred site.
On the West Bank, lies the Valley of the Kings — the eternal resting place of Egypt’s most famous pharaohs, including Tutankhamun. The atmosphere here is filled with mystery: the dimly lit corridors decorated with colorful symbols of the afterlife make you feel as if you’re entering the heart of ancient history. Each tomb is not just a burial place, but also a masterpiece of art, science, and faith.
Luxor is also a city of contrasts. Between its temples and tombs lives modern Egypt — lively markets full of spices, souvenirs, and local crafts, and streets echoing with the rhythm of everyday life. A stroll along the Nile reveals stunning views: graceful sailboats gliding across the water and golden sunlight dancing on the surface — a perfect harmony of past and present.
This city is where history truly comes alive. You can imagine temples being built, pharaohs ruling their kingdoms, and divine processions passing through the ancient streets. Luxor impresses with its scale, beauty, and timeless grandeur — leaving every visitor with the unforgettable feeling of having touched one of the greatest civilizations of all time.
Tour Program:
Early in the morning, around 5:00 AM, a transfer will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the airport for a short but scenic flight to Luxor. Departure is at 7:00 AM, and by 8:00 AM, you’ll be flying over the legendary land of Thebes — once the capital of ancient Egypt. From above, you’ll see green strips of farmland along the Nile, desert oases, and the majestic temples that map out the timeline of human history.
Upon arrival, you’ll be met by a professional English-speaking guide who will lead you through Luxor’s most famous landmarks.
The first stop is the Luxor Temple, built over 3,000 years ago and dedicated to the god Amun. Its colossal columns, statues, and reliefs depicting scenes from pharaonic life will take your breath away and instantly transport you back to the age of the gods.
Next, you’ll visit the Karnak Temple Complex — one of the largest religious sites in the world. Walk along the Avenue of Sphinxes, explore the Hypostyle Hall with its 134 massive columns, and feel the overwhelming sense of ancient grandeur. Your guide will reveal the temple’s secrets, ancient rituals, and fascinating stories hidden in its hieroglyphs.
After this incredible exploration, you’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, where you can taste traditional Egyptian cuisine (drinks not included).
In the afternoon, the tour continues to the West Bank of the Nile, home to the Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens. Here lie the tombs of Egypt’s most powerful rulers, including the famous Tutankhamun. You’ll walk through ancient corridors decorated with vibrant wall paintings depicting scenes from mythology and the afterlife, experiencing thousands of years of history in one moment.
The tour concludes with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon — two massive statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that have stood guard over the Nile for more than 3,000 years. Their silent grandeur is awe-inspiring and perfect for memorable photos.
Around 5:00 PM, you’ll head back to Luxor Airport for your return flight to Sharm El Sheikh. Departure is at approximately 9:00 PM. The flight back offers breathtaking views of the sunset over the desert and the Nile — a perfect ending to a day steeped in history and wonder.
